Websites

We design and build websites

And have since 2011. We don’t start with the design. We start with your audience: what they came for, what they need, and how they describe it in their own words. The structure, the pages and the design come out of that.

  • Audience research and messaging before any design work
  • Information architecture, content structure and site strategy
  • Design and build on a modular component library your team can run
  • Redesigns on the site you have, complete rebuilds, and rebrands where the brand is what's holding you back
  • Sites for a new campaign, launch, course, community, membership, podcast or store
  • Built to be personalized from day one, not retrofitted later

I had 6,500 subscribers and was just blasting random broadcasts. Brad came in, gave me a clear weekly email system, and made sure every email delivers an offer.

How we work

Nine steps, in this order

It starts with the survey. Everything after it, the groups, the offers, the website and the emails, depends on what people tell you there, which is why most of the work happens before a page is designed or an email is sent.

  1. Step 1

    Design the survey

We work out what you actually need to know about your audience, then write the questions that will tell you. Sometimes that is three questions. Sometimes it is a quiz where each answer changes the next question.

  2. Step 2

    Build it and connect it

We build the survey in RightMessage or with our own tools, and connect it so each answer is saved to that person's record in your CRM and email platform, and can be used by your website.

  3. Step 3

Collect their own words, and turn them into a report

The survey asks people to describe their situation in their own words. Our own tool reads all of it and finds the patterns: the phrases people keep using about what they are struggling with and what they are looking for. Your writers get that back as a report they can write from.

  4. Step 4

    Sort people into groups

The answers put each person in a group, like engaged couples, or couples who are busy and drifting apart. From then on, your website and your emails can tell the groups apart.

  5. Step 5

List what you offer, in order

Everything you sell or ask for, from the free thing someone reads first to the biggest commitment, and which group each one suits.

  6. Step 6

Shape the website around the groups

The headline, the offer, the resources and the next step change by who is reading. If the site itself is what is holding you back, this is where we redesign it, rebuild it, or build the campaign site the work needs.

  7. Step 7

Write a version of each email for each group

The same email, written a few different ways. A newly engaged couple and a couple of twenty years get the version that fits them.

  8. Step 8

    Build the automation

The rules that send the right version to the right person at the right time, so nobody on your team has to decide it each week.

  9. Step 9

Watch what happens and change it

We look at what people did on the site, and what they opened, clicked and bought, and change the parts that are not working.

Working together

How you can work with us

  1. Free · 45 minutes

    Discovery call

We talk about your goals, your audience and what's getting in the way. You'll leave knowing where you're losing people, and if we're a fit, we'll suggest a next step.

  2. Paid · one time

    The Giver Map

An audience journey and growth audit. It finds where your audience is being lost, and which fixes are most likely to lift subscriptions, participation, giving, monthly support, sales, membership and retention. You leave with a prioritized plan, whether or not you hire us to build it. It includes:

    • Your audience and journey map
    • Website-to-email conversion analysis
    • Where each subscriber, donor, customer, member or participant stands
    • A review of your welcome and after-a-gift or after-a-purchase journeys
    • Segmentation and personalization opportunities
    • Measurement and attribution gaps
    • Opportunity estimates on your own numbers
    • A prioritized implementation plan

The Build Guarantee

Your system ships fully built, documented, and your team trained, or you don't pay the final setup installment. Payment is tied to delivery, not to a promise.

The First-Win Guarantee

Your first personalization goes live fast, or your next month is on us. We don't promise a specific retention number, because your supporters' choices aren't ours to guarantee. What we guarantee is the work.

45 minutes. You'll leave knowing where you're losing people. If we're a fit, we'll put together a proposal.

How we measure

Engagement and money, kept apart

We separate engagement improvements from financial outcomes. We show the numbers we can verify, set a baseline before we build, and measure the effect of each major change against your organization’s own goals.

Success can look like

  • More giving
  • More monthly partners
  • More subscribers
  • More members
  • More course and event enrollment
  • More product purchases
  • Better retention
  • More revenue per subscriber
  • Fewer unsubscribes
  • Better knowledge of your audience
  • Less reliance on one-size-fits-all broadcasts
Fit

Giver is a good fit if

  • You have an existing audience, website or email list.
  • You publish, teach, sell, serve, fundraise or build community online.
  • You know your website and email are too generic.
  • You have real traffic or subscribers, but few automated journeys.
  • You want more giving, participation, membership, sales or retention without relying only on more advertising.
  • Someone on your team can provide content, approvals and context.
  • You have an in-house team and want strategy and direction, not only more hands.

We may not be the right fit if

  • You need only a logo or a brochure website.
  • You don't have a meaningful audience or list yet.
  • You want mass email production without strategy.
  • You need a paid-media or direct-mail agency.
  • You can't give us access to the relevant data and decision-makers.
Included with the build

A day on-site with your team and your leadership.

Every Multiplier includes a day at your office during the build, your board welcome. The centerpiece is a State of the Union on your supporter system: what the first weeks revealed, what your supporters are telling us, and where it goes from here. The data stops being a dashboard and becomes a story your team can rally around. Your only cost is travel, at cost and approved in advance.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

It won't, because it isn't one. A funnel pushes everyone toward the same action. This does the opposite: it makes sure the right person hears the right thing. The first-time visitor and the decade-long partner stop getting the same ask, and the reader who already bought the book stops getting pitched it again. That's not pressure. That's paying attention, which is what stewardship is.

You probably automated the sending, not the relevance. Same message, sent faster. The message never changed to fit the person. This changes the message, in the supporter's own language, based on what they've actually told you and done.

That's the biggest part of what we do. Most of those visitors aren't even on your list yet. We capture them with a smart survey while they're paying attention, learn who they are, and start moving them toward a first gift or a first purchase. You grow your list, your giving and your sales from the traffic you already have, without buying a single new visitor.

Both. Designing and building websites is where we started, and we do it in-house. The Multiplier works on the site you already have, because that's the fastest way to a working system. If the Map shows your site is in the way, or you have a launch that needs its own site, we scope that separately and build it to be personalized from day one. A new website is a longer investment than an email sequence, so we show you what it is for and what it should return before you commit.

Good, the same system handles that. It puts the right offer in front of the right person at the right time instead of blasting everyone, which tends to sell more of what funds the mission, not less. Giving and earned revenue run through the same personalized experience, and we report them separately so one never hides the other.

Yes. If you're funded by the books, courses, events or memberships you sell, the work is the same: learn who each reader is and what brought them to you, then put the offer that fits them in front of them. Everything we'd do for a first gift, we do for a first purchase and a second one.

Then retention isn't the lever for you, and we won't pretend it is. The value is in capturing the traffic you're not converting, reactivating dormant supporters, moving one-time givers to monthly, and turning one-time buyers into repeat ones. That's revenue on top of whatever you already keep.
